Coach Joe Vogt:
I have been involved in baseball my whole life. I was an all-state catcher in high school in New Mexico and then went on to play D1 baseball at New Mexico State University. There I played for nationally renowned coaches Eliot Avent (currently at NC State) as well as Gary Ward (college Baseball Hall of Fame), where I learned a lot about bringing the best out of baseball players. After college I helped coach at the high school level for a few years. More recently I have coached youth baseball for the past 7 years here in Monument, CO, including my current HS team with
El Paso County Baseball.
Coach Nick Marburger:
I have been playing baseball since the age of 5. Throughout HS I gained experience playing every position except 1B, which gave me a well-rounded understanding of the game. I spent 3 years at Ottawa University, before transferring to UCCS where I am currently completing my Senior year. Baseball has taught me invaluable lessons about teamwork, discipline, and building lasting relationships. I appreciate the game not only for its competitive nature but also for the clarity and focus it brings when I am on the field- I am able to fully immerse myself in the moment and set aside outside distractions.
Coach Austin Webster:
I have played baseball since the age of 5 and started playing competitive at age 9. My main position was 1B, but I also played OF and Pitched. I attended Ottawa and played 1B for a year but then I decided to move on and focus on school. This will be my 3rd year coaching at Palmer Ridge HS.
The thing I love most about baseball is the bond that you build with your teammates. Baseball allows you to come together with others that share the same passion to play, and you create memories that you will hold onto forever.

Coach Tyler Treadway- 11U Knights
I have loved the game of baseball since my earliest days in Little League, spending countless summer afternoons pitching against the wall of our family barn. I played 3B and OF through 9th grade, when I was outplayed and lost my roster spot on the JV squad. My own playing career was cut short in part due to a lack of quality coaching during my formative
years, which has fueled my passion to coach the right way. For the past 4 years, I’ve had the privilege of coaching my son’s team, striving to provide the instruction, guidance, and encouragement that I wish I had received. I’m passionate about teaching the complexities of baseball, helping young
players grow in their understanding and skill, and instilling values of sportsmanship and integrity—lessons that extend far beyond the game itself.
Coach Jared Harmon- 10U Renegades
Coaching exp: 5 years
What I love about the game:
Baseball brings all the best parts of individual competition, focuses it into a group of young men that must come together to achieve victory. It forces these young men to push themselves to achieve individual goals that will benefit the team. Every time you step up at defense or at bat, you have an entirely new opportunity to turn the game around. All skill specializations fit to form amazing teams of young men. Boys have to win to have fun and
we are aiming for fun.
What I love about coaching:
I am able to make amazing relationships with young men who have a passion for the sport of baseball. They drive for growth in their own skills, developing a passion for the game and a sense of accomplishment
when they achieve the goals that they have been working so hard for. I have coached multiple sports- football, volleyball, and softball- and it is the baseball boys that get me pumped up as much as I pump them up. Witnessing young men change and support the boys they call teammates, keeping them up after a bad at bat and celebrating with them
after the opposite. It’s amazing what the sport does for the community and these groups of young men and I get to be a part of that.
